Mechanical Trailer Steering System

TRIDEC TR-X Mechanical Steering System

  • Mechanical
  • Rigid Axle
  • Enhanced mechanical steering for short trailers in heavy distribution transport
  • Steers the first and last axle of a three-axle trailer in opposite directions
  • Common for tippers, milk distribution, and construction transport
  • Improved manoeuvrability for construction and farm deliveries
  • Direct, play-free steering via the fifth wheel unit and steering rods
  • 10 t axle load; 15 / 20 t fifth wheel load
  • Steering angles up to 30°

Built for Short Trailers in Heavy Distribution

The TR-X mechanical steering system is used primarily for short trailers in heavy distribution transport such as tippers, milk-distribution, and construction transport. It steers the first and last axle of a three-axle trailer, with the first steered axle turning in the opposite direction of the last steered axle.

  • Short trailers in heavy distribution transport on three- or four-axle configurations
  • First and last steered axles turn in opposite directions
  • Used for tippers, milk distribution, and construction transport
  • Linear fifth wheel unit characteristics
  • Special version available for tanker trailers
  • RDW test report per EEC guideline 70/311 available on request
